When I first started, it was all about the tax preparation. Throughout the process of tax preparation, there are times when you, the client needs help with IRS problems. At the time I was a CTEC Registered Tax Preparer, and had limited permissions before the IRS. Even though I knew the answers, or at a minimum knew where to find the answers, I was not able to fully represent clients before the IRS. I could only offer assistance on a "here's my best answer, but you need to find someone to represent you" basis.
That led to me obtaining my Enrolled Agent License that authorizes me to represent clients before the IRS in all aspects of taxation. This has allowed me another avenue in which to help others even more.
I have been able to reach out to a large number of people, and have been contacted by a large number more. I started this blog on my website as another avenue for me to reach out to you and for you to reach out to me.
This blog is for you. I invite you to ask questions, respond to my blogs, send emails, call me, and yes, even point it out to me if I happen to interpret something differently than you, and would like more clarification. The only way to get better in this business is to push yourself to gain more knowledge. The best way to gain more knowledge is by helping others in their situations. I live for that opportunity. I've learned that no question is a dumb question, and no two people have exactly the same situation.
If you want me to talk about a certain subject, please let me know. Others may have the same question.
I'll try to present topics in as layman terms as I can, and keep the subjects as light as I can, but come on, we're talking about taxes here.
